In this video I explain the foundational core of every martial art known to man. This will be the first in a series of lectures I will be posting on this topic.

This clip is from a sparring session from last week. This particular toe hold is very dangerous and actually applies pressure to the knee joint and meniscus.

In this video I am drilling a No Gi Triangle set up and Finish. The Triangle is not my favorite submission and I rarely ever use them as I feel there are many far more direct and simple ways to submit an opponent. However the Triangle is a dangerous submission that must be drilled and studied lest ye fall prey to its trappings.

My friend Brandon Kiser shared this drill on his instagram a few weeks ago I thought it looked like fun so we trained it.

More live sparring in a Gi.

I haven’t posted a training journal video in while due to the demands of my current job  but I’m still training every week. In this clip we do some light sparring working through several unorthodox positions including some knee bars, leg attacks, double wrist locks and head scissors.
